Horse Riding - Luxor

Where:Luxor West Bank, most taxis will know a stable.
When:Most of the stables are open from about 7am untill late, rides are for 2 or 3 hours depending on the trail you take.

Horse riding is an excelent activity for anyone, no matter your skill level, experience or age. The horses in the stable come in a large variety of temprements, with slow and calm horses availble for the inexperienced, to fast and touchy horses for the experinced rider who enjoys being able to have some speed.

There are two rides avalible at the stable we visited. One is a two hour ride, which takes you through paths between fields, and the other is a three hour ride into the desert. We went on the two hour ride (Le 120 for two people). I would recomend this for any group with inexperinced riders in it, as it provides a leasurely walk through some beautiful fields, with ample opportunities to trot for the more advanced riders, and about half way through there is a place where riders may canter if they want to.

While we haven't been on the three hour ride yet, the expericnce was so enjoyable that we started to plan it as soon as we got back. The ride apparently involves alot more running in the open space. Can't wait!
